Monsters University Concept Art

April 18, 2013 by Ashley 2 Comments

Monsters University

Ok, I am warning you here in this first sentence… this post about Monsters University is going to be jam packed full of pictures!  I love, love, love (yes I really needed three love’s) Monsters Inc.  I cannot tell you how many times I have seen the movie.  I think it is too many to count.  The movie is funny and cute and everyone falls in love with it!

So, I was crazy excited when I was given the media packet for this movie that is coming out June 21st, 2013.  This will be one of those movies I cannot miss.  It looks like everything is going to be amazing and that this movie is going to be just as awesomely funny and entertaining as Monsters Inc. was.  This movie is going to be quite a bit different because it will be set at a university instead of in a work place type of setting like Monsters Inc.

Monsters University

I just love this picture because you see both Sully and Mike standing in front of the archway to the university.  It shows off a good scene and gives you a chance to get a peek at what type of a setting the school is set in.

Monsters University

This is another great concept art piece. (Have I mentioned I love looking at concept art?  I am the person who always watches the being made and behind the scenes clips on DVDs when it comes to animated movies.) You get a great view of the common areas of the school along with the physical school off in the distance from what appears they are driving to since the image is set on the roadway.

Monsters UniversityI had to add in this concept art piece that includes some other interesting monsters.  One thing I loved about Monsters Inc. was all of the interesting, creative, and unique.

The Story of Captain America Continues…

April 9, 2013 by Ashley 2 Comments

Captain America

Captain America Returns in 2014!

If you haven’t been able to tell yet I love comic books and I absolutely love old comic books.  The first Captain America movie was based on the comic book series from 1941 by Marvel.  I loved the first movie and was so glad that we watched it.  I end up seeing all of the Marvel comic book themed superhero movies.

Marvel and Disney have officially announced the release of the second Captain America movie titled “Captain America: The Winter Soldier” to be in theaters April 4th, 2014!  This means that this time next year I will be sitting in the movie theater more than likely with my boyfriend and his two teenaged brothers watching this movie.

Are you as excited for this movie as I am?

Keep watching for more updates on the movie as the year goes on.  This is all I have to share for now!

Monsters Inc. Activity Sheets!

Monsters Inc 3DI love Monsters Inc. and I think that it is awesome that Disney and Pixar are putting it back into theaters on December 19th* for people to see in 3D. I cannot really watch movies in 3D because it always bugs me that I am wearing to pairs of glasses, but I know that 3D movies are very popular. I do love seeing IMAX movies though.

I am excited to say that I have some activity sheets that you can print off for you and your children. They include 2 door handle hangers that I would suggest printing on card-stock and cutting out for the kids. There is also a fun little Monster Hexaflexagon cut out game you can print off that includes instructions on how to use it. I also have a coloring sheet and 2 maze puzzles for you!!

*This movie will only be available in select theaters. Check yours to see if it will be showing Monsters Inc. 3D

  • Monsters Inc. 3D Doorhanger
  • Monsters Inc. 3D Hexaflexagon
