I have never had the chance to go to New York before, but when I go to the city I always like to spend some time looking at the sites.  For many this is stuff outdoors, but for me it is finding the museums, and other fun place like that.  When I saw this information about MOMA I knew I needed to share it with you.

Many bloggers end up going to New York for blogging events.  If I ever get the opportunity I will be going to this museum because I love places  that have art in them.  I probable have such an interest in art because I have family members who are artists and they helped me to really appreciate it when I was younger.

I hope they see this post as well because my Aunt Candi and Uncle Bob love to travel and love finding new places to stop when they are visiting places.  This museum sounds like it has a lot of history and a lot of quality art work that they would be interested in looking at.

My own personal tastes for art varies.  I like a lot of old art, probably because of the history behind it, but I also have been getting into some of the more modern art.  I think it is important to know current history as well as world history and since graduating high school I have not been learning much in regards to history, especially art history.

If any of you live in New York I would love to know if you had heard of the Museum of Modern Art because I would love to hear what you think of the museum.  Growing up near Chicago meant lots of various different types of museums, but I don’t think I even made it to all of the museums in the city.

Art and music are big in Chicago just like they are in New York City.  I can remember my first museum growing up was the Museum of Science And Industry.  It was the perfect thing for a child.  Learning new things and going somewhere fun for a day.

I will probably take my children there when I have some and they are old enough, but for now I will dream about the day that I make my way to New York City and head through Midtown Manhattan to go to the MOMA Museum to see some exceptional modern art.

I am not from New York but I have heard of the Museum of Modern Art. I would love to visit it one day. Our museums here are very small and I guess the word for it would be quiant compared to MOMA, but we enjoy them just the same.
