Are you a Newlywed? Are you Broke? Newlywed and Broke is the new comedy web-series that will remind you of the humor you can find in “I love Lucy.” This is going to be the modern-day comedy hit that “I love Lucy” was in its heyday . I have always been a huge fan of “I love Lucy” so to hear about Newlywed and Broke I was very excited. There really hasn’t been a show like it since it aired in the 1950’s.
I could tell you a lot about this little series and exactly what they want to make it be. Their goal is to make a mini web-series and once that is successful they plan to pitch the big time show networks like ABC, HBO, FOX, and NBC. On top of their mini series they plan on producing 52 YouTube videos with a theme called “Broke Tip Tuesdays.” These tips will include such little videos as: Broke Dating, Broke Cooking, Broke Travel, and so much more!
Now, let me have the team over at Newlywed and Broke tell you what this is all about with their Campaign Video.
You can help them out. They need our help to fund this awesome mini series and already they have reached 30% of their goal in the first week of their campaign. When you head on over to the IndieGoGo Campaign Page check out the right sidebar. Over there you will find the different “Perk” options you can choose from. Each one gives you a little something special in return for your help.
The Perks start as low at $1 and get as large as $5,000! They have some really awesome perks too! One of the perks is a Skype conversation with the developers to pitch your ideas for a webisode and one of your ideas they will choose and use!
“The Newlywed and Broke crowdfunding project marks the first time that crowdfunding campaign manager, John-Michael Scott and crowdfunding campaign promoter, Philip Cardwell have joined forces in support of a crowdfunding film project.
“When John-Michael called to explain the shows concept and the previous accomplishments of the group involved in the project, I felt obligated to take a look. What I saw, was a well-crafted, hilarious pitch for, what I believe will be, a future primetime TV series,” stated Philip Cardwell, Founder of Universal Media Consultants.”
