Tag-Im-It

I love games and I really love “get to know you” type games as well.  This little game is so much fun!  I get to have fun writing about who I am while also learning about my bloggy friends out there!

Thank you so much Shauna from Pickles and Peppers! for tagging me in your post! I love being a part of your AAA team!  I am going to tag a few of you at the end of this post in hopes that you will join in as well!  Let’s have fun and see what all we can learn about one another!

20140328_175516Are you named after someone?

I am not named after anyone.  From what I can recall my mother had been pretty darn sure that I was a boy so she had not picked out a girl’s name by the time I was born.  It took awhile to decide on a name, but they chose Ashley Marie.  I even got lucky enough to have the same initials as my older cousin Anya Marie.  Our initials are AMP though she is now married with a different last name.

When was the last time you cried?

The last time that I cried is pretty easy to remember.  It was last week Wednesday reading everyone’s loving comments on my post about my decision to give up my daughter for adoption 6 years ago.  (Feel free to read the post if you haven’t yet. Read it HERE.)

Do you have kiddos?

As I mentioned in the question above, I gave up a daughter for adoption, but aside from her I do not have any children.  I do however have three amazing fur babies.  They are Gonzo (cat), Deimos (cat), and Luna (puppy).

If you were another person, would you be a friend of yourself?

I would certainly hope that I would be a friend of myself.  I guess there is always a chance that I might not be for some reason or another, but who knows.

Do you have a guilty pleasure?

A guilty pleasure?  I am pretty sure that I do, though at this moment I am blanking as to what it might be.  If you know what my guilty pleasure might be please feel free to let me know in the comments below.

Do you like your handwriting?

I have never been fond of it, but then again I also find it difficult to write.  I do however love how my handwriting is just as unique as the next persons.

What is your favorite cereal?

I don’t eat cereal all that often, really.  I love my Rice Crispies, Cheerios, and Raisin Bran.  I recently ate a bunch of sugary cereal with my friend the other weekend.  That was a nice little midnight snack that we shared.

What is the first thing you notice about people?

First impressions mean a lot to me, but it isn’t the physical stuff that I remember.  I always remember the way that they were acting and their demeanor.

What is your eye color?

Ohhh geez.  This question always stumps me.  I would like to say that my eyes are blue.  I think that is how most people describe them, but I have been told that they are green, hazel, grey, and even more colors by people in the past.

Scary movie or happy endings?

Well, I like both.  I admit that I am a horror junkie.  I love horror movies, books, and tv shows, but at the same time I am a sap for a happy ending that leaves me smiling and maybe even with happy tears in my eyes.

Favorite TV show?

I have several. The top shows for me are science fiction/paranormal shows which include: Supernatural, Warehouse 13, Firefly, and now also BelieVe.  Outside of those shows I enjoy many cooking shows (Yes, I need my Ramsay fix regularly.) as well as shows narrated  by Mike Rowe (That also includes his show Dirty Jobs and his new show that has not aired yet on CNN.).

Summer or winter?

Can I choose Spring and Fall instead?  I find Spring and Fall to be the best for me because my nerves seem to fare the best in these temperatures over the real hot or cold weather.

Hugs or kisses?

I love both hugs and kisses though I do get a little tense about them in certain situations.

What’s the furthest you’ve ever been away from home?

The summer before 7th grade I went to Europe through the People to People program without my family and the three week trip consisted of me traveling through Italy, Austria, Switzerland, and France with other children my age.

Do you have any special talents?

I do not know if I really have any special talents, but I would openly listen to any ideas that any of you might have as to special talents that I may have no matter how silly they might be.

Where were you born?

I was born in Olympia Fields, IL though I lived in New Lenox, IL from birth until the age of 19.

What are your hobbies?

I love to read & write.  Aside from that I love to get lost in a good video game.

Do you have any pets?

I have two cats, Gonzo and Deimos, and one puppy, Luna.

Favorite movie?

I don’t really have a favorite movie.  I have a lot of movies that I like to re-watch, though.

What color is your car?

I have a Beige Ford Focus that I have had in my possession since 2005.

What do you want to be when you grow up?

I do not think I will ever completely grow up.  There will always be an inner child that is begging to be freed.

Thank you so much for tagging me in this little blogging game Shauna!  I had a lot of fun and I hope the women that I tag have just as much fun as I did!
