Chicken Salad Recipe

If you saw my Chicken Salad Leftovers Wordless Wednesday post this week you will know that I had a ton of leftovers this week.  Last weekend we smoked two whole chickens and a 10 pound pork butt and for just our family that is a TON of meat.  We had about one whole chicken for leftovers and over half of the pork butt left.  That meant I needed to get creative and find some fun and interesting ways to use our leftovers, right?  Right!

If you also have some leftover, overripe Bananas you should check out my Chocolate Chip Banana Bread Recipe while you are here.  It is a great desert bread for your children to devour!

Free Breast Pumps – Not Really Free for Everyone

(Edit: Most of this piece was written before the birth of my son, but somehow went unpublished until now.) As many pregnant women have found out the Affordable Health Care Act made it possible for women to get a free breast pump through their health insurance.  Unfortunately, there are loop holes so that not all […]

Sometimes I Wish I Was a Normal Mom

I love being me and most days I don’t really mind having a disability, but there are days where I really wish I was a normal mom. There are days when I wish I could just pick up my son and carry him around like he wants. There are days when I wish I didn’t […]

DadGear – Diaper Bags for Dads

I received this product free in return for my honest opinion from DadGear. More often than not people only think about baby products for the baby and for the mom; the dad is often forgotten in the mix.  It is important that we do not forget to include dad in the mix.  His role is […]
