We tend to be a little slow when it comes to eating all of the bananas in the house. We had four bananas that were overly ripe. So, I knew that meant it was time for some Banana Bread. I have always loved banana bread, but I wanted to change it up this time so I substituted the walnuts for semi-sweet chocolate chips and chocolate chip banana bread was born. Viola!
In the recipe listed below I also included it with walnuts because I know it would be great with both. At the time we didn’t have any at home and I was too lazy to go buy just that from the grocery store, but you can bet that the next time our bananas get over ripe I will be making it with both!

I would love to hear if you used this recipe or made any changes! Leave a little love and I hope you love the bread as much as I did.

This recipe looks very tasty. Thanks for sharing!
Found you on Pinterest, and just tried your recipe in an 8″x4″ bread pan, in an electric oven. Turned out great! Hubby is eating some now, and he declares it “delicious”!
I am so glad to hear that it turned out great!!! I was a little worried about how it would work cooked other ways.
I’ve made banana muffins but never with chocolate and of course everything is better with chocolate! I will have to give this a try. Thanks!
I used to love banana bread. Now that I have to eat gluten free I need to find a good recipe-maybe I will experiment withthis one!
