Sisters Are The Coolest! Happy Sister’s Day!

August 4, 2013 by Ashley 1 Comment

Frozen Sister's Day Social

Today is sister’s day!  This is a day to celebrate all sister’s. Disney’s upcoming film ‘Frozen‘ is bringing you today’s greeting card!  Remember Sister’s are the coolest.  (They are so much cooler than brother’s are. *wink, wink*)  Frozen comes out in theaters November 27th.  If you are as excited as me follow them on Twitter and use hashtag: #DisneyFrozen.

I myself am a sister.   I have a sister, Sarah, who is 2 years younger than me.  It’s crazy thinking about the fact that she is in her mid twenties now and I am in my late twenties!   I can handle me growing up, but when it comes to her growing up it always has felt weird.  We used to be very close, but with the distance between us we have grown apart.

Sarah, this is for you on Sister’s Day.  You are still the best sister ever!

Disney Imagination Movers Are “Back In Blue”

August 1, 2013 by Ashley 1 Comment

imagination movers

Many of your moms our there might know of the Imagination Movers musical group from the Disney channel.  The Imagination Movers are a funny group of four guys from New Orleans who back in 2003 decided to get together to brainstorm ideas and songs for a kids TV show.  This all just snowballed over time.  It led to them landing a Disney Juniors series.

During that time they wrote and produced many songs and albums, but here is the thing.  They could never have done it without you.  They need your help buying their music, spreading the word to everyone you know about them.  Get active and speak out because you might just find out that they are getting prepared to announce a new Live show in or near your hometown.

Imagination Movers

This album is songs ALL from Season Three Imagination Movers from the Disney Channel (last year). 26 songs total. The album will only be available on iTunes and Amazon. Produced by Walt Disney Records and Blue Suit Music. Songs written by Imagination Movers.

If you want to hear more Mover music, see more Mover videos and have the Movers come play LIVE in your town, this is your time to send the message to the people who help us make those things happen. So please, take a moment and listen to these new songs, download a few for yourself then gift them to a friend.

At the very least you can use the incredible power of Twitter, Facebook and other social media to make sure that everyone knows that Back In Blue, the Season 3 soundtrack from the Emmy winning show Imagination Movers, will be available for download on iTunes and Amazon.

Imagination Movers Coloring Book

Imagination Movers also want to share with you their PDF Coloring Book for your kids.  You can download it right here and let the fun begin!

1 of 533 Debuting The Delivery Man Official Trailer

July 2, 2013 by Ashley Leave a Comment

Delivery Man

I love comedies (well, actually I cannot think of a genre that I don’t like.) and Delivery Man starring Vince Vaughn sounds like just the movie for me. I have really enjoyed Vince’s leading role movies in the past which makes me even more intrigued by this new film that he is starring in.  Now, let me warn you this movie is NOT about a delivery man who delivers your newspapers, mail, or anything else.  The movie title is deceptive to say the least!

Delivery Man is a mature comedy that tells you a story about an underachiever who is searching his life for some meaning, something to be passionate about when he gets that call.  The call no man ever wants to get.  He is a father, but he isn’t your normal father.  No, 20 years ago he made anonymous donations to a fertility clinic and now he has 533 biological children!  That isn’t the biggest shocker… 142 of these children want to meet him and he has to make the decision of whether or not to meet his children.

Delivery Man 1

This is an interesting take on a “family movie”. I am interested to see how it all plays out and see what he decides to do. If I were in his shoes I am not sure what I would do because they aren’t children I tried to have. I had no part in conceiving them however they would be biologically mine. Hypothetical’s, you have to love them.

Remember this movie is Rated PG 13 so it is made for a mature audience. Vince Vauhgn is a great comedian, but his films are ones that generally are not suited for young children.

Delivery Man 2

Today is a big day though. Today Disney and 533 bloggers will be debuting the film’s official movie trailer! I was one of the lucky 533 (Yes, I know that is a pretty big number.) who were picked to debut this trailer. I am representing one of his 533 biological children and hope you enjoy this trailer because I have been addicted to watching it and have the song from it stuck in my head now.

Label Daddy – All Weather Labels Review!

May 24, 2013 by Ashley 2 Comments

label daddy review

I was given an opportunity to receive these free labels from Label Daddy and I was excited to see what products they had that I might like!  I know I don’t have children so many of you might be confused as to why I would be so excited to review these stickers, but I am.  I love everything about them.  After browsing through their different packs which include school packs and camp packs that have a variety of stickers to fit your ever need for labeling your child’s items with their names.

Label Daddy ReviewThose packs didn’t really fit my needs so I had kept looking through things and found mailing labels that are just too cute and I found some small stickers I was thinking I could use for the backs of envelopes that are beyond cute.  I put little hearts on my mailing labels and I dug through the Disney images  they offer and chose an older version of Minnie Mouse for my little stickers because I have always loved Minnie Mouse.  I believe when I have kids and need stickers i will go through Label Daddy because I can get them stickers with their name and a Disney character on them.  I love Disney movies and I know my children will too.

While looking through their website I also found out that they also have a fundraiser option on their website.  I thought this was really cool because you get a percentage of the profit from the sales which would be great for a school or a camp to do so that the parents can buy the labels for their children.  Setting up the fundraiser also looks pretty easy and they give you everything that you will need it.

They have an awesome page of Helpful Hints that they include in the package when you get them in the mail and you can find this PDF page on their website as well.  I have compiled them together for you so that you can see how easy they are to use as well as how great they really are.

Helpful Hints:

  • Extra small sticker for Garments (best placed on label of clothes)
  • Make sure you use pressure to adhere the sticker to the item.
  • All edges need to be on the item nothing hanging off because you do not want water getting under it.
  • Wait 24 Hours after adhering label before washing.
  • Do not apply to anything that is water-repellent or with a heavy texture.
  • Do not iron labels.
  • The zipper tags are not designed to be pulled.

‘Sexy Merida’ is Pulled From Disney Princesses

May 16, 2013 by Ashley 2 Comments

Merida

There has been much talk about the new image of the ‘Sexy Merida’ that Disney had made for their Disney Princesses Website.  If you look at all of the Princesses they have all been beautified or given a ‘sexier’ look to them.  I am not sure if that is a good ideas or not, but it is what they have done for each of the Princesses.  However, this backlash has hit hard and Disney did pull the image of Merida replacing is with the original image of her from the movie.

Out of all of the Disney Princesses Merida is the one that doesn’t need that look the most.  She is an awesome Princess full spunk and attitude that makes her stand out from the rest and it is this that I think should be kept with her.  She needs to be as natural as possible.  She wouldn’t be the same if she was as girly as most of the other Princesses and I believe this is why it drew such a big up-rise from fans all over the internet.

Merida

Merida was the princess that countless girls and their parents were waiting for — a strong, confident, self-rescuing princess ready to set off on her next adventure with her bow at the ready. She was a princess who looked like a real girl, complete with the ‘imperfections’ that all people have. – Change.org Merida Petition

How do you feel about the two Merida images?
