Spring is Here – And Its Time For Spring Cleaning

March 21, 2014 by Ashley Leave a Comment

“I participated in a Blogger Activation on behalf of Mom Central Consulting for Modere I received a promotional item to facilitate my review and to thank me for my participation.”

Let’s Start Spring Cleaning with the Essentials

I just had my birthday on Tuesday and that is always my que to tell me that Spring is around the corner and March 20th came and went with some nice weather bringing Spring to us this year.  It also means that the Spring Cleaning chores are about to begin.  With everything closed up for the winter it all needs a deep clean and it needs to be done right.

I know many parents are leaning more toward natural products like Modere offers in their store because they are safer to be around their children and families.  I am the same way because I want to know that my pets are just as safe.  They walk on the floors, lick surfaces, and do so much more that sometimes I cannot control or witness and using harsh chemicals around them makes me worry about their health.  That is why I prefer using natural products in my home.

In my house we have been working hard to make improvements and start our Spring Cleaning Venture.  I was lucky enough to get myself some amazing products from Modere to help us out in the cleaning process.  While looking through their products I knew which ones would be perfect for helping us out and ended up getting these:

  • Multi-Purpose Cleaning Wipes
  • Laundry Pods
  • Liquid Hand Soap
  • Energy Shot 12 Pack

Now, I know you probably read through that and are looking at the Energy Shot 12 Pack oddly, but I know just how much work needs to be done inside as well as outside the house that is going to take a lot of energy and I wanted to make sure that we would be able to get it all done.

Modere works hard to make sure that you know that their products are safe.  That is what got me so completely excited to be able to get my hands on their cleaning products.  It is so important to know that I am safe and so are my pets.  All of their product lines are safe.  They believe that there is no room for compromise and they strive to bring us all the highest quality products out there.

They also see things the same way that I do.  They believe that your home is a reflection of who you are.  That is something I really take to heart and that is why right now we are working so hard to clean the house top to bottom as well as make improvements to make the house scream out and show our personalities.  I love how their products all help to enhance my life and my home.  The scents are natural and light instead of being over bearing and smell fake and unnatural like many other brands out there.

The Contour Living Kabooti Seat Cushion Review

May 5, 2013 by Ashley Leave a Comment

kaboot Comfort Living

kabooti seat Contour LivingI was pretty excited to review the Kabooti Seat Cushion from Contour Living.  I was so excited about this because I know I do not sit flat on seats and my back is never straight.  With a bad back and a bad hip it is pretty important that I try to keep everything as aligned as I can have it.  I personally love this cushion.   It fits well in most office type chairs and I can feel a difference when I use this.

This cushion works so well for a variety of reasons.  The shape is created to give you the perfect spot to rest your butt and hips so that the align straight and set your spine straight in the process.  The cut out in the center is there to help reduce pressure on the tailbone.  In addition the front tapers to relieve pressure from the underside of the thighs.

The one thing that we did notice is that it does not work well for larger individuals.  It does not fit well under my boyfriend, Dan and he said he could not feel it except for a little bit of lumpiness under him.  I am not sure if it is because of his weight or the larger, wider size of his backside.

You can get one of these from their website for $29.99 or if you buy two you can get each for $24.99.

I received one or more of the products mentioned above for free using Tomoson.com. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers.

Maxim… Soft, Safe, & Natural Feminine Hygiene Product Review

April 10, 2013 by Ashley 1 Comment

I reached out to Maxim to perform a feminine hygiene product review a sampling of their products because I love that thy are all 100% Certified Natural and Organic Cotton.  As people know on here I have been trying to be as eco-friendly as I can and love when I find a great new product.  The idea of having a softer, natural product that I am using just makes sense when it comes to pads and tampons since the skin down there is so sensitive.

Check out what Maxim has to say about itself before I continue on with my review:

We, here at Maxim, are a little particular when it comes to hygiene. So, whether it’s that time of the month or any other time of the month, we think it’s very important that women receive information about what’s going in to their bodies, especially the most intimate parts of their bodies. Therefore, we’ve provided some helpful points below, about Maxim’s unique qualities, to help guide your decision making and thoughts on the importance of keeping your products most intimate products organic and natural.

They were kind enough to send me multiple feminine hygiene products to review.  They offer a wide variety of products from tampons to pads and cosmetic accessories.  All of these products feature the following benefits:

  • Made with 100% Certified Organic & Natural Cotton
  • Chlorine/Dioxin Free
  • Synthetic Free
  • Wood Fluff Pulp Free
  • Hypoallergenic/Irritation Free
  • Eco-Friendly & User-Friendly

Feminine HygieneThe initial reason that I requested to review their products was for these.  I am picky about my tampons.  I buy the cheap ones when I have to but I really hate using them.  The applicators are always rough and they are usually hard for me to push inside.  These ones are really nice.  They sent me the ones with an applicator because I find the ones without to be too hard to use without them due to my fingers being so weak and awkward.  The applicator on these is really nice and isn’t real rough when using it.  The tampons itself are real soft and I cannot really feel them when they are in unlike some other brands where they feel bulky and rough.  I found that their regular ones lasted longer letting the whole thing get soaked before the string would be soaked unlike some that I have to change early because the string gets all nasty and it isn’t even half used.

feminine hygiene Now, I don’t normally use pads or pantiliners, but these I like a lot because they are real thin and they are real soft.  It doesn’t feel like I am wearing much of anything.  I also found them to be great at the beginning and end of the cycle when wearing a tampon is silly because I am only spotting.  These would also be great use during a pregnancy if you spot a little or if you happen to have a yeast infection that you are treating so that no discharge gets onto your panties because you wouldn’t want to ruin them or stain them.

feminine hygeineThe Organic Cotton Balls that they sent me I had not known they would be including in the review, but I loved how they used this bag as stuffing for the box.  It was a great way for them to be eco-friendly while also giving me an additional item to review.  These cotton balls are very soft and work very well.
