Within the park, there are 15 museums; certain museums offer complimentary admission to San Diego residents on Tuesdays.

The Museum of Contemporary Art San Diego offers free admission on the third Thursday of each month between 5 pm and 7 pm. Visitors may take advantage of the freebie at both the Downtown and the La Jolla locations.
