Am I a Valentine’s Day Traditionalist?

February 11, 2019 by Ashley Leave a Comment

This is a sponsored post thanks to Teleflora for their Valentine’s Day Specials.

Teleflora Valentine's Day Bouquet

I don’t often say that I am a traditionalist, but one thing I will admit is that I love getting flowers. It doesn’t have to be for a special day, but I really do love getting flowers for holidays. Heck I don’t even care if I buy them for myself. Hahaha.

I just love how fresh flowers brighten up a room and one’s mood so if I have the chance to get a bouquet of flowers or a small plant then I take it. Of course because of Valentine’s Day is coming up I have been browsing through the different bouquets of flowers to gift myself this year and I got myself the beautiful bouquet that is pictured above all thanks to Teleflora.

Valentine’s Day Special Bouquets

Teleflora has some amazing different holiday themed bouquets that you can choose from. My current favorite is the Teleflora Sterling Love Bouquet. This bouquet of flowers features fresh red roses, pink Asiatic lilies and red Alstroemeria that are all arranged inside a stunning blown glass vase. I know that even when these flowers wilt and get dried I will be able to refresh the vase with fresh flowers on a regular basis.

My flowers are pictured above and are the center-piece to our kitchen table. I cannot get enough of them. The flowers are beautiful and smell amazing. I am ever do thankful that days have passed by and still the flowers are fresh and undamaged. This is quite the feat with three cats and a toddler in the home. Of course it makes me smile when I catch either the cats or my son taking a moment to smell the flowers and enjoy them as much as I do.

Teleflora Valentine's Day Bouquet

The perfect little shower of love.

Now, if you happen to want to purchase flowers for your gal and she has to work on Valentine’s Day then I recommend you get her either the Country Sweetheart Bouquet or the Happy Harmony Bouquet. These options are stunning and come in smaller containers so they aren’t as tall and fit nicer on a desktop. These are also great options to remember to look for your significant other on other special occasions. For instance they make for great end of the year presents to teachers and great spur of the moment gestures of your love for them.

If none of these bouquets seem to pique your interest then I highly recommend you check out their entire Best-Selling Valentine’s Day Flowers. Teleflora offers a wide-variety of different options and you can always browse through the rest of their website if your significant other isn’t the biggest fan of roses, the color red, or pink. I can guarantee that you will find something extra special with their favorite flowers.

Will you be getting a Teleflora bouquet for Valentine’s Day?

If you are looking for kids Valentine’s Day ideas then I recommend you check out this cute post about allergy friendly Valentine’s Day options.

Allergy Friendly Valentine’s Day Treats and Cards For Kids

February 9, 2019 by Ashley Leave a Comment

Allergy Friendly Valentine's Day Treats & Cards

I’ve always been aware of allergies, but I only ever avoided tree nuts because my cousin is allergic to them so they were naturally avoided around him. However, now that my son is dairy-free and was gluten-free for a short time I am now so much more aware of the ingredients in the foods we eat and hand out. So, I went on a venture to find a way to have an allergy friendly Valentine’s Day with my son.

I still love my chocolate, but realize that a lot more people can’t have it than I ever thought was possible. My son hasn’t entered school yet, but will be in the next couple months and that has me thinking about holidays at school. It can be hard to monitor kids and make sure they aren’t getting their hands on foods they shouldn’t be eating.

Welch's Fruit Snacks Valentine's Day Snack Pouches

Valentine’s Day Snack Cards

If you and your child want to bring in Valentine’s Day Cards to pass out that are also snacks then you might want to consider Welch’s Fruit Snacks pouches. This Valentine’s Day they have boxes that contain 28 pouches filled with heart-shaped emoji fruit snacks that can be filled out with names as Valentine’s for your child’s classmates.

Welch’s Fruit Snacks are fat free, gluten-free, dairy-free, nut-free, and contain no preservatives. This makes them a win-win for allergy conscious individuals. I love that they are something that I can share with my son without fear of it causing him any health issues.

Valentine’s Day Non-Snack Card Options

If you would rather find a cute Valentine’s Day card that doesn’t have food with it to hand out to the children in your child’s class then I would recommend you checking out these cute Coloring Crayon Valentine’s Day Cards that can be made using Cricut’s Design Space.

Valentine Crayon Box Favor

The Valentine Crayon Box Favor is not a design included in Design Space Access, but it is a super cute idea for a great little Valentine’s Day card to send to school with your little one. This design makes a simple crayon box big enough for you to fit 8 different colored crayons. You could easily buy crayons in bulk online, in a teacher’s store, or just make a trip to the Dollar Store to get some cheap crayons. This box is easily colored by the children, or could be left blank for their classmates to color when they get their little Valentine’s Day gift.

Valentine Coloring Card

This Valentine Coloring Card is also a great option for the kids this year. These cards only require two crayons and can be a great way to help let your child help put together the cards for their classmates. While you do the work making these cards on Cricut Design Space your child can pick out the crayons that go with each Valentine.

These cards are easily customized in Design Space which means that if you want to include different pictures for the kids to color you can easily substitute them in before making them for your child’s class. This particular design is one that is available for free if you have a Design Space Access subscription.

Will you be using any of these allergy friendly Valentine’s Day ideas?

Lingerie for a “Red” Haute Romance

January 14, 2016 by Ashley Leave a Comment

I cannot believe that Valentine’s Day is around the corner.  I admit that being quite pregnant (seeing as I am due March 2nd) does not help to bolster my romance meter.  About half of the time I actually feel beautiful even while everyone is telling me that I look amazing pregnant just like I did before I became pregnant.  So, I am not shopping for any lingerie for Valentine’s Day this year (it seems silly when I will be losing the baby weight in a month or two), but that shouldn’t stop you from doing a little bit of holiday shopping.  If you’re looking to heat up the night on Valentine’s Day, these “red” haute styles can help. From corsets to robes and babydolls to bras, here are some styles that are sweeter than a box of chocolates.

Layla Fold Down Lace Bra

Playful Promises Lace Cup Babydoll

Satin and Lace Bikini

Satin Chemise with Lace Trim and Robe Set

Play Things for Post Dinner Pleasures

If your partner planned a perfect romantic dinner, you can return the favor with fun and fantasy for Valentine’s night. Here are some accessories and toys for naughty girls and boys. Enjoy!

Perfect Pajamas & Lingerie for In-Home Pampering

Whether you’re doing a quiet night at home with the girls, your lover or yourself, Valentine’s is all about being pampered. What better way to relax and treat yourself to a calm evening than with super soft pajamas. If you want something comfy to cuddle up in, here are a few fabulous choices.

Soft and Comfy Babydoll

Super Soft and Comfy Halter Top with Lace Trim

IfOnly Has 41 Ways To Say “I Love You” This Valentines Day

January 28, 2015 by Ashley Leave a Comment

41 ways to say I love you

If you are one of those lucky people who are in a great loving relationship then you will want to check out this post because I remember what it was like to be in love.  I wanted to make Valentine’s Day extra special.  I wanted my partner to know exactly how much I loved them. (I say them because I have had multiple loves in the past.)  You know what I mean.  You might be like me; someone with very little money, but you save up to do something extraordinary to celebrate the Holiday of Love.

IfOnly makes it possible for people who have all different financial situations to express “I Love You” to your significant other.  There are so many different ways that you can express your love for someone and I want to help you out if you feel a little stuck this year.  I know it isn’t always easy to come up with something new and exciting.

The simplest and sweetest way to show people that you love them is through chocolate.  For most women chocolate is a way to their heart.  IfOnly has a few different options when it comes to chocolate.  If you don’t want to give your special someone a box of chocolates they do have what looks like an amazing chocolate cake that is made by a famous chef.  Now, I know everyone isn’t a huge chocolate fan and that is why I have even more options to share with you.

If you live in the San Francisco Bay area then IfOnly has some great dinners in restaurants that you can take your significant other out for a very special meal.  The promo images make the dinners look amazing.  The different restaurants even cover different restaurant types so that you can find one that is best suited for you and your significant other.

Maybe you want to be even more extravagant than buying dinner and/or candy then maybe you want to create a whole event for the day.  For instance you could take a trip to San Francisco, Napa Valley, or The Grand Canyon.  If you consider any of that as something that you would be interested in than you will want to check out the Hot Air Balloon rides and seaplane ride that IfOnly has for sale for Valentine’s Day.

cheers

Finally, if you are like me then you might consider wine as an option for your lover.  I love wine and I love finding out about the wines that I drink.  If you decide to make a trip to Napa Valley and go on a Hot Air Balloon ride then you might also want to consider a wine weekend in Napa Valley as well.  IfOnly has that option as well as a few more amazing wine options for the wine connoisseurs out there.

What are your plans for Valentine’s Day?

Valentines Day By The Numbers

February 14, 2014 by Ashley Leave a Comment

Just the other day I shared with you my thoughts about Valentines Day in my Cupids Day post that you should go read if you have not seen it yet.  In that post I talked about how Valentine’s Day is not only for couples but also single people as well.  Today is finally Valentine’s Day and I am busy spending time with my friends and the people who have been so supportive these past few months.

So, check out this awesome infographic that I found on History.com’s website.  I think you will find all of the information fascinating just like I did because there is always something new to learn!  If you do take the time to look at this infographic at least check out the brief history portion at the top because for me that was the most fascinating part of it all.
