Disney- Frozen: The Songs Album Review

September 30, 2014 by Ashley Leave a Comment

This post was sponsored by ENMN Network and Walt Disney Records.

frozen cover artI am a huge fan of Frozen and was so excited to be given the chance to review the Frozen soundtrack here on Parsimonious Pash.  I loved the Frozen motion picture when it came out in theaters.  I was lucky enough to be gifted the movie for my birthday from my loving sister, Sarah.

The Frozen: The Songs soundtrack features your 10 favorite songs and also comes with a bonus sticker sheet and a collectible Frozen poster with your favorite characters from the movie on it!

Which is your favorite character?

My absolute favorite character is Sven.  I find him to be humerus and a great character who brings great entertainment value to the movie.  He is also a great participant in my favorite song, Fixer Upper, from the movie.  I know most people absolutely love Let it Go, and I do too, but there is some really cute humor to the song Fixer Upper that I cannot get over.

I do also love the song Reindeer(s) Are Better Than People, again for the humor that comes with Sven singing with his Reindeer buddy.  I am already searching the market for a new poster frame so that I can hang up the poster on my wall with all of my other amazing movie posters that are already framed.

Giveaway Time!

This giveaway is open to one US winner!  The winner will receive a copy of Frozen: The Songs.

Disney’s Planes Hits The Theaters!

August 9, 2013 by Ashley Leave a Comment

Walt DisneyWalt Disney PlanesDisney Planes comes out to movie theaters today!  I have to say that is pretty exciting.  If you are a fan of the Cars movies then I highly suggest you check out Planes.  Sadly I was unable to go and see the Pre-Screening of this movie.  I would prefer seeing it in theater, but not in 3D because I just find seeing movies in 3D difficult.   I am guessing it is because of the bifocals that I have to wear under the 3D glasses.

I have some awesome activity sheets and coloring sheets for you and your kiddos.   I know I always love coloring sheets.  Just download the PDF files and print off your fun little coloring and activity sheets.  And if you haven’t checked out the trailer for the movie check it out below because it is pretty awesome.

Disney Imagination Movers Are “Back In Blue”

August 1, 2013 by Ashley 1 Comment

imagination movers

Many of your moms our there might know of the Imagination Movers musical group from the Disney channel.  The Imagination Movers are a funny group of four guys from New Orleans who back in 2003 decided to get together to brainstorm ideas and songs for a kids TV show.  This all just snowballed over time.  It led to them landing a Disney Juniors series.

During that time they wrote and produced many songs and albums, but here is the thing.  They could never have done it without you.  They need your help buying their music, spreading the word to everyone you know about them.  Get active and speak out because you might just find out that they are getting prepared to announce a new Live show in or near your hometown.

Imagination Movers

This album is songs ALL from Season Three Imagination Movers from the Disney Channel (last year). 26 songs total. The album will only be available on iTunes and Amazon. Produced by Walt Disney Records and Blue Suit Music. Songs written by Imagination Movers.

If you want to hear more Mover music, see more Mover videos and have the Movers come play LIVE in your town, this is your time to send the message to the people who help us make those things happen. So please, take a moment and listen to these new songs, download a few for yourself then gift them to a friend.

At the very least you can use the incredible power of Twitter, Facebook and other social media to make sure that everyone knows that Back In Blue, the Season 3 soundtrack from the Emmy winning show Imagination Movers, will be available for download on iTunes and Amazon.

Imagination Movers Coloring Book

Imagination Movers also want to share with you their PDF Coloring Book for your kids.  You can download it right here and let the fun begin!

‘Sexy Merida’ is Pulled From Disney Princesses

May 16, 2013 by Ashley 2 Comments

Merida

There has been much talk about the new image of the ‘Sexy Merida’ that Disney had made for their Disney Princesses Website.  If you look at all of the Princesses they have all been beautified or given a ‘sexier’ look to them.  I am not sure if that is a good ideas or not, but it is what they have done for each of the Princesses.  However, this backlash has hit hard and Disney did pull the image of Merida replacing is with the original image of her from the movie.

Out of all of the Disney Princesses Merida is the one that doesn’t need that look the most.  She is an awesome Princess full spunk and attitude that makes her stand out from the rest and it is this that I think should be kept with her.  She needs to be as natural as possible.  She wouldn’t be the same if she was as girly as most of the other Princesses and I believe this is why it drew such a big up-rise from fans all over the internet.

Merida

Merida was the princess that countless girls and their parents were waiting for — a strong, confident, self-rescuing princess ready to set off on her next adventure with her bow at the ready. She was a princess who looked like a real girl, complete with the ‘imperfections’ that all people have. – Change.org Merida Petition

How do you feel about the two Merida images?
